Outreach
We hold community outreach programs every quarterly focused on creating public awareness and education on early child development matters on mainstream media and social media. This focuses on the WHO nurturing care framework guidelines.
We hold biannual medical camps at different venues subject to sponsorship.
Our therapists run caregiver skills training sessions virtually every month on various topics including:1) How to support their child’s development and functioning, based on the WHO Care for Child Development, and the University of Liverpool Ubuntu manuals for supporting children with Cerebral palsy. This covers how to support physical, mental, cognitive, communication, intellectual, social-emotional functioning and feeding problems.
We hold virtual group sessions for caregiver support using the WHO Care for the Caregiver guidelines as the need arises.
We link all caregivers to a parent support group of caregivers with children with specific challenges as theirs.
